Hello, my name is Autumn and I have a four-year-old daughter - Alexa. We currently reside at Beauty for Ashes where I completed the program in December 2020 and am now in an extended care/leadership program. Over the past year and a half, with the help of Beauty for Ashes, I have conquered quite a few “mountains” and have ended over a decade of addiction that kept me in chains mentally, spiritually, and physically. I am now living a life close to God as the mother my daughter deserves. I am a college student and am on a road to success with the opportunity to live out what I have learned and help others at Beauty for Ashes find their way to freedom and relationship with Jesus. 

 

For me, this year’s hike is about saving lives and coming alongside a family that lost their loved-one far too soon. The women and children that enter Beauty for Ashes are more than just faces present for a season; they leave impressions that last and find a true home inside the hearts of staff who will never stop caring. This is the Beauty for Ashes family that Alexa and I get to be a part of. The family Jessica was a part of. It is a great privilege I have been given to join this hike and conquer physical mountains for the women and children of Beauty for Ashes while showing God’s love and compassion to the Grosvalet/Horn Family.
