ABOUT ME

I'm Josh!  I live in the beautiful state of Tennessee with my wife, Juliea, and my three kids: Avett, Emma, and Nathaniel.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and own a behavioral health practice with several locations in the Chattanooga area.  I have had the unique experience of watching my parents, Mike and Cindy, start and operate Beauty for Ashes along with multiple other Teen Challenge centers.  What an incredible process it has been!  There have been remarkable transformations through God's blessing on this ministry.   I am joining this hike in hopes of offering further support for the work that God is doing to transform the hearts, minds, and spirits of the women at BFA.

My inspiration for this hike is, in fact, the previous hikes I have been a part of.  Outdoor adventures have always provided a place of solace for me, but it is particularly while hiking that I have had my life's largest revelations.   In some way, I hope that the revelation process of hiking shows that I stand in solidarity with the transformations and revelations that are coming for the women of BFA.  With every mile, I hope to consider the impact that will ripple throughout eternity as we work together to end the suffering of drug addiction.​

I am an avid fisherman, hunter, hiker, and outdoorsman... and I get a bit like a kid in a candy store every time I enter the wilderness!  I hope to bring life and energy to the team, as well as a bit of spiritual and philosophical insight into the metaphorical elements of outdoor activity.
