ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jen Bennett!  My husband and I live in beautiful Woodsboro, Maryland on a 25-acre farm where we raise and grow our own meat, garden, eggs, and Christmas trees.  I’ve been so blessed to be married to my husband for 25 years and have four adult kids and one daughter-in-love.  I am doing this 30-mile hike in memory of my sister, Dominique, who died just shy of her 30th birthday ten years ago.  If only she would have had a place like Beauty for Ashes to go to, she may still be here with us today.  I have never walked more than a 5k, but when I met Cindy last November at a women’s retreat, I knew this hike in the Shenandoah mountains to raise money and awareness for this truly inspiring mission, was something I had to be a part of.
