ABOUT ME

Thanks for checking out our page. We are Patrick and Tawana Pesnell and we are both originally from the same small town in rural Alabama. We share five kids between us ranging from 12 to 26 years of age and we also have two grandchildren ages 7 and 3. Patrick first participated in the BFA hike in 2023 and Tawana has joined the team for the 2025 hike. We were both introduced to Beauty for Ashes a few years ago during an outreach project and we knew right away that they were making a huge impact on the lives of the women and children that came to them for help. Since then we have had the privilege of getting to know several graduates of the program and have seen how their lives were forever changed by God through this organization. We both love the outdoors and being out in nature to experience God’s creations and are thrilled to participate in a hike that supports such a great cause.
