ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name is Pachess Wooden. I wear many hats as a wife, mother, daughter and caregiver, but my favorite is Child of God! I know about addiction because I grew up in it and around it. It is only by God's grace that He took my desire for all substances away from me when I got pregnant with my daughter. I gave my life to Him shortly after my daughter was born because I wanted a better life for her and for me. I can look back now and see God's hand on my life from the beginning, protecting me and pursuing me, even when I wasn't acknowledging Him. I am doing this hike with my daughter to bring awareness to BFA and to give glory to God for being the chainbreaker in my life, and my family's life for generations to come. My husband and I allowed God to have control in our hearts and lives, and our children are seeing the blessing and benefit of following God's plan. I know that God orchestrated the contact with Teen Challenge last fall at our church, and it has now culminated into a ministry partnership with them. We praise God for bringing us together to help the women and children at Beauty for Ashes, and look forward to what He is going to do in the future.
