ABOUT ME

​Hi, I am Ivy. I came to learn about Beauty for Ashes through my close friend Lauren, who graduated from the program years ago. Our friendship is centered around our love for the Lord, healing through nature and the journey to recovery led through the first two. I am excited to be more involved in this ministry to help connect other women to empowerment and restoration through the Savior’s love and his awesome creation. I have one daughter and two adorable granddaughters. I am a travel nurse and own a fair trade boutique that works to raise awareness for exploitation and inhumane work conditions. I also teach creative writing and history courses for a homeschool coop. I was a former English teacher and my hobby is reading for knowledge. I enjoy researching new topics, new places, and learning more about things that interest me. I have also been in recovery for 25 years and so this outreach is also close to my heart and my own testimony of God’s love for the brokenhearted. I’m excited to take this journey in the wilderness where I always meet God in all his majesty.
